December Bullet Journal Set-Up | ‘Tis The Season To Be Jolly

It’s the final month of the decade! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. It feels like a few days ago that I was at a new year’s party! The older I get, the faster the years pass. Next year, however, I am making an effort to get out and do stuff so that the year seems longer! For example, in 2018 I travelled to so many places and it made time ‘slow down’. I am the only one who gets that feeling?

This bullet journal set-up is quite minimalistic because I didn’t want to plaster it with all the festive colours. The cover page isn’t exciting at all! Though the further you get into the set-up the more creative it becomes.

December is a really busy month so I’ve left the calendar without details – to make it as functional as possible. Now I’ve taken photos of it I’ll start writing down all of my dates! It’s going to be hard to fit blogging in around all of the social events but I will try my hardest! I don’t want to hibernate like I did last year 😂Christmas is a prime-time for content 🙃

‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’ is one of my favourite festive songs

The candle is cinnamon scented though it’s on it’s last burn! 😢

I didn’t have habit trackers for November so I did forget to practise my cello a lot and my reading went down too! This month I am hoping to fill in these trackers as best as I can. Especially the ‘100+ pages a day’ because I really want to reach my Goodreads goal!

I don’t put Christmas decorations up until much later in the month so I’ve had to use these pinecones instead. They’re still festive, right?

The mood tracker is one of my favourite spreads! Reflecting on feelings is really important to me. This month is going to be hectic so I doubt I will have as much time for journalling – though I still want to keep track of my moods. I can’t want to see what the end result will be like too!

The last page is my expense tracker. It’s essential for this month because I’ll be buying a lot of presents! I usually make gifts for my closer family though I don’t have the time to do that for everyone. Hopefully I won’t fill the whole page 😬

What theme are you doing for you December bullet journal? If you don’t currently have a bujo, is it something you want to take up in the new year?

Thank you so much for reading today’s post! Have a lovely December,

Cat

The silky softeners of her fur against the back of my hand;

Rich feathers swimming through my fingers.

Her purrs so deep that they vibrate through my body,

From the split ends of my hair to the tips of my toes.

To appreciate the stillness of sitting requires patience.

A patience that the world lacks,

Because it moves too fast for the purring of a cat.

And the way fingers stroke her back.

Why Some People Live More In Ten Year’s Than Others Do In 80 | Philosophy

Welcome to my philosophy. Some people believe that humans are superior because we have minds and brains. I would not like to preach, but humans are animals – scientifically, but could also be spiritually and religiously. That ant you killed today, has a mind too. The fact may seem irrelevant, but once you read this you’ll understand.

We all have different ways of communicating. This is where people misunderstand each other and begin confusion. Just because we can’t understand a cat doesn’t mean we are more superior to it. Before you jump to conclusions, saying that you can understand your pet, think about yourself. People sometimes don’t understand you, they twist your words as they pass them on. If humans can’t understand humans, humans can’t understand cats.

That was a bit of an absurd example but I am trying to explain as best I can with the limited vocabulary palette I own.

Plastic

Try and smile,

When you look at the sea.

Try and smile at the waves,

When they’re blowing plastic at me.

To save the Earth.

We’d have to rebuild,

Straight from its birth.
