How To Make Your Morning Amazing In 5 Steps | Collaboration With Girl Online

This post has been a long time in the making, but finally we’re able to share it with you! It’s completely my fault that it didn’t go up sooner. Everything was so all over the place, that I ended up publishing my half without even thinking. I feel so bad for the miscommunication on my part. However, it’s here now! So let’s concentrate on the positive. If you enjoy this post (which I’m sure you will), remember to follow Girl Online’s blog for more. She writes about lifestyle, makeup and personal experiences. I love reading content from her, and I’m sure you will too! Here are her wonderful tips, all about getting a great start to the day:

Take a nice awakening shower/bath

Morning showers are rather stimulating and are the best way to start your day (according to me). I personally take a nice warm shower first thing in the morning. But cold showers are proven to help bring you back to reality and with your overall physical health and fitness. On top of that, it helps with your hygiene as well.

Drink an ice-cold cup of water in the morning

I do this on a daily basis right after my morning shower and it has so many positive effects:

  • helps to clear your face revealing a splendid natural glow!.
  • hydrates your whole body.
  • stimulates your body.
  • Boosts your energy and mood.

All the above mentioned points are effects that i have personally noticed and experienced. All this helps with overall self-esteem and confidence.

Take time on yourself

This is an open section. You can do anything that reassures you to keep on doing whatever your doing at this point in your life. Ideas may include working out, listening to music, taking a nice walk, having a nice breakfast, taking selfies, reading a blog post/book, watching a YouTube video or just picking out what your wearing to boost your confidence. Even if you wear uniform (like I do) just find a nice and unique way to rock your uniform, without breaking rules obviously.

Breakfast is important

In your routine, make sure to include breakfast. Usually I don’t have enough time to make breakfast in the morning so I just have a little head start the night before. Recently I’ve been so obsessed with healthy smoothies and so I just cut up all my fruit and prepare all ingredients so in the morning all I have to do is throw everything into the blender and I’m ready to go. I try and eat as healthy as possible but not strictly. Eating a heavy breakfast is recommended as it is the most important meal of the day.

Update your morning routine

Generally, a good morning routine that your satisfied with will make your whole day cheerful. Adding natural stimulators will boost your energy. For example: icing your face after washing it will increase your natural glow and your level of confidence. Rocking a cute hairstyle also will boost your energy. How you look physically will boost your general confidence. It is scientifically proven (not sure where but let’s stay positive)

Thank you so much for reading! These were really useful tips, as I’m sure you’ll agree. Please show some support to the author’s blog, and if you have time I’d appreciate you reading my 5 tips (linked here). Hope you are all safe and use these tips to have an amazing morning!

How To Be A Morning Person (If You Want To) | 5 Easy Tips & Useful Advice

Not all of us can be morning people. There’s no point trying to be someone you’re not! If you’re a night owl, you do you. However, I know a lot of you want to try out early starts for a time so you know how it makes you feel. I’ve always been an early riser and over the years I have implemented things into my routine that help me off to a good start. In case you’re interested,I wake up at 6. These are the tips I have for you if you want to wake up earlier:

1) Get 8 Hours Of Sleep

This sounds shocking to a lot of you, but it’s the healthiest amount of time you should be in bed. On the first couple of nights I’d even try 9 hours, because your body clock with trick itself into thinking you’re tired when you’re not. After a week or two you’ll get into a routine. Set an alarm for bedtime and stick by it! I get ready for bed about 20:30 and fall asleep around 22:00. This leaves time for doing the things I like before bed, rather than late night studying.

2) One Alarm Only!

At first you will need to use a snooze alarm, but after a month get rid! It’s really bad to have a snooze, and it makes you more tired than you were previously. To cut it short, your body takes an hour to ‘shut down’ and when you interrupt this your body reacts and thinks it needs more sleep. I’m good at waking up at the first alarm, because I have a motivation for the morning.

3) Set An Intention

In the past month I got into practising yoga and I do it to start off every morning. When I’m laying in bed, debating whether or not to lie in, I think about my yoga. Just the idea motivates me to get up! And once I’m out of bed I do something to fully wake myself up.

4) Drink Water

Before bed I get myself a glass of water, leaving it on my desk for the morning. Once I switch off my alarm (which is across the room, double tip here!), I go over and drink a whole glass of water. At once. After 8 hours of not drinking it’s really important to get fluid in your body, but it also wakes you up. If water isn’t your thing, go downstairs and make yourself a cup of tea! There’s no point going to bed when the kettles boiling.

5) Stick To It

Weekends are no exception! Get up every day at the same time and slowly you’ll have a consistent body clock. It may seem hard at first but your future self will thank you for it.

What time do you wake up every morning? Are you an early bird or a night owl?

The Perfect Morning Routine | Books, Skincare & Yoga!

As my night routine post was so successful, I decided to a morning routine as well! The morning is my favourite time of day. I try to make this most of the early hours, and I usually achieve the routine in this post 6 times a week. For some reason Thursdays are never great for my productivity. Does any one else have a day like that? No matter how hard you try, it just never works out? Let me know in the comments.

1. Yoga

If it doesn’t happen in the morning, it doesn’t happen at all. That’s why I do this first thing! Usually the sessions are about half an hour long, which is perfect. Through yoga my body can fully wake up before I get on with other tasks. Also, after sleeping for eight hours, I certainly need a stretch! You can read more about my daily yoga practise here.

2. Skincare routine

It’s really important to have a skincare routine. When I wake up, I cleanse my face then use moisturiser with SPF. However the evening is a little bit different! I won’t go through this now though, because I just uploaded a whole post about my skincare routine!

3. Breakfast

Without breakfast, I start snacking throughout the day. My go-to breakfast is porridge but I do have lots of other recipes! While eating I enjoy reading. It’s a more positive experience than watching the news! Currently I’m reading The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken.

4. Duolingo

I don’t touch screens until an hour after I wake up. And after breakfast and yoga, it’s usually 7am. Which means I can practise my languages! At the moment I’m doing French et c’est tres facile cependent les verbes sont difficiles! J’adore français.

5. Post on Instagram

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I spend about ten minutes posting to Instagram and catching up on your lovely comments! Doing this at the start of the day motivates me to be productive. And your kind words always bring a smile to my face ☺️

6. Do one thing from my to-do list

This could be writing a blog post, practising my cello or even doing homework. But ticking something off my to-do list close to the beginning of the day makes me quite happy! And once one thing is ticked off, I just want to carry on.

7. Bunnies

They deserve a cuddle every morning!

8. Head off for my day

At the weekends I might go for a walk or have a drama rehearsal. On the days where I have nothing planned, I try to get myself out. Being inside all day really isn’t good for me! Even though I might want to stay in bed, the best thing for both my mental and physical health is getting outdoors. Some days I have a load of homework so I’ll take myself to the library to do it.

Thank you for reading this post! I’m sorry for the dominating pronoun being ‘me’ and ‘I’. So in the comments, let me know what you do in the mornings.

Is there anything you can’t miss in your routine? How do you prepare yourself for a busy day?

Hope you’re all well, whether you had a good or bad morning!

5 Easy Tips To Make Your Morning Amazing

Don’t we all strive to achieve an amazing morning routine? Well, look no further than this post. I used to set myself unrealistic goals for the morning, and fail even before my first day. So many of us have to go to work and school; we don’t have the time to go to the gym and do a study session. Hopefully these tips can set yourself up for a flexible but structured healthy morning. As soon as you start doing these things, there will be an instant improvement in the rest of your day!

  • Exercise

It’s really important to include some physical activity in your morning routine. Whether that be a few stretches or a full-on workout, anything to get yourself moving will make the rest of the day feel better. I do walk around the house quite a lot in the morning, and I also stretch a bit when I wake up. Most of us don’t have the time to go for a run, but if you do then make the most of it.

  • Get outside

Humans used to always be exposed to the elements, but we don’t get much of that anymore. A breath of fresh air makes you feel so much better. In fact, go outside now and try it! At the weekend I go for walks but on a regular day I don’t have the time. It’s essential you do get a bit of nature in your daily routine; even better if it’s at the start of your day!

  • Breakfast

Do not skip breakfast! It’s my favourite meal of the day, and according to scientists the most important meal of the day. I am going to share my go-to breakfasts in a post later this month. You might not be hungry as soon as you wake up, so do a small task beforehand. I know a lot of people skip breakfast because they aren’t up soon enough! Wake up half an hour earlier and you’ll be able to sit down and eat (I wouldn’t recommend having an on-the-go breakfast, it’s uncomfortable and bad for you)

  • Pamper

None of us have time for a face mask or a bath, but make it you mission to have a wash and dress up nicely. I know a hoodie and leggings is comfy, but it won’t provoke that working mindset. Then at the end of your work you can change! In the UK we have school uniform and it does help to form a divide between school/home. If you work from home, sometimes the line blurrs. Try not to let it!

  • Do what makes you happy

Just before you head off to work/school, spend a few minutes doing something that makes you smile. It can be a reward for getting all of the other tips done! I like to read while eating my breakfast. You might listen to music while walking to the bus stop. Just a small thing like that can make you feel so much happier! It’s also good for your mental health if you include a bit of ‘me-time’ in your mornings.

Those are all of the tips! Hope you enjoyed reading today’s post, and let me know if you want to see a part two.

When do you wake up in the morning? Or do you wake up in the afternoon?
