The Most Wonderful Day

Today has been the most wonderfully beautiful day – and it’s still not over.

I had a very productive morning (I say morning, I mean 8:00am to about 2:00pm). I posted a very long post, and it was relieving to see it done, had plenty of Cello practise and basically wrote and wrote and wrote. Amazing, relaxing, wonderful.

The afternoon has been a pleasure so far. I went into town with my dad and brother (who’s blog looms in this corner of the internet) and it was really relaxing. We ran errands and did some shopping – a haul in which I will show today – went a lovely little cafe and honestly, had the best tea. I’ve never been one for iced tea but this soda was gorgeous. I have it twice before and every time I go to that little cafe I never look for anything else!

We sat and chatted yet I sadly didn’t take pictures (stupid me, at least the memory is my mind) for about half-an-hour. Whilst I was chilling, I read some of your blog posts which were of course as amazing as ever. I read through some of my cringey old ones too! (don’t search for them)

We then went to do the weekly grocery shop and wrapped it all up nicely. From upstairs I can smell the fresh food and the cooking that is being prepared! I am so grateful for this day, most honestly!

I think I am now going to plan tomorrow and do a bit of tidying around.

Today has been the best day ever.

Here’s for the haul.

I now lay what I have bought today in front of me and begin to feel warmed. I have bought a book, Rainbow Drops (they’re not in front of me because I’ve eaten them already), crystallised ginger, a card for my friends soon birthday and some ingredients for a DIY baking post that I will be putting together tomorrow!

The book grabbed my attention – not only Shakespeare in Baker’s trademark long scarf but the ‘humour’ written precisely on the back. We love a sarcastic novel! I am currently doing a Shakespeare project for school, and combining it with my most dear fandom is literally the best. I may do a book review but you’ll definitely see it in the future, whatever! I bought this from the local bookshop for £9:99 and I don’t think that’s a rip-off!

Secondly, the foodie side of things. I have been craving Rainbow Drops for so many weeks and my friends probably think I’m mad when I’m muttering under my breath ‘I really want some Rainbow Drops right now’! I ate them (but also shared them) whilst walking around the outdoor market. I got images from Google so I hope these will do!

Crystalised ginger is one of those things that just relates with all seasons. In the extremely warm weather it has been a desire for me to just pick out a tangy ginger cube and pop it my mouth. And these two things are treats and maybe you already know by now that I’m a health freak XD so please don’t judge.

If you are new here then maybe it isn’t the best first impression! Little rambles like these pop up occasionally and if you would like to see when, then make sure to follow so you never miss a thing!

Stay beautiful my readers and I hope you had an equally enjoyable Saturday!

DIY Easy Easter Treats | No-Bake Chocolate Nests

Hey Internet!

Easter is certainly here and that not only means chocolate, but baking. However, you would prefer quick and easy treats that can be prepared in an instant because time is hard to manage at this busy time of year. This recipe is completely vegetarian unless you are adding gummy sweets not chocolate to decorate (but who honestly would, eh?).

Let’s be nostalgic and go back a few years to when you used to make ‘Mini Egg’ chocolate nests with your mum. These treats can get so much morethan just chocolate in an instant.

DIY Gifts! | Show Someone They Care

Hello Internet!

I’ve a box of tissues right next to me – not because this is going to be really emotional but because I’ve been sick for a few days. I wake up in the morning like a slug, then for the rest of the day I act like a cat (sleeping at every opportunity). It’s been awful! Please wish me to get well soon. 🤢

Today I was planning to write more on my novel but then I came across to my laptop and the document had gone. So, I think I’ll have to start once again. But the original words of the story keep escaping me and my inner author is not switched on. I cannot think; write; speak or wonder, whatsoever and it hurts.

Quote of the week

I love poetry – however I’m not a poet. I love art – but I’m not an artist. I try my hardest to do what I love but it never comes to me. What are my talents?

Today I’m going to share with you some ways to get crafty and make something personalized for someone you care about! Let’s get started:

  1. Colour in their initial. My Granny bought this lovely book for me (thank you!) in ‘The Works’ with fancy letters to colour in. But you could also draw this if you like! I think that spending your time to do something like this is lovely for your receiver and colouring is very relaxing! *BONUS!*
  1. Photo-frame collage! This is quite complex (but easy). All you need is: a photo frame, twine/string/ribbon, photos, mini-pegs or paper clips and extra-accessory (pressed flowers is a good option). I’ll need to show you a full tutorial so I will do very soon – probably this week.
  2. Bake! You could create a baking kit for your chosen person and make it together (this is great for the younger people) or bake them a cake FOR them. It’s up to you! But these all work amazingly!!
  3. It’s the wrapping that counts: if you have personalized gift-wrapping or have taken your skills to the next level it makes for a brilliant gift, no matter whether it’s bought or not! So get that wrapping sorted.

I hope you loved making these DIYs and took these tips in to account. Sorry for the weird mash-up of subjects, but that’s me: weird! If you are to make any of these lovely things then please send me a photo via email! All the feedback from you is appreciated.

Best of wishes,

Bullet Journalling: The Easy Way

Hello Internet!

In a slump at the start of the year: are the motivation and organization goals getting too much for you? Or haven’t you started on the bullet journal trend? Here are my top ten tips to glide your life to the goals you’ve been wishing for. And it’s really simple!

You will need to succeed:

Sorry for the yellowed lighting on these photographs.

  • Coloured pens or pencils
  • A notebook
  • A pen or pencil
  • Determination

Rules (a rough guide):

To maintain an awesome standard of journaling make sure you take ten minutes of your time every day to get your next day listed, colour-coded and prepared. Ten minutes is a large stretch but having the extra time helps with better consistency (making it good every day, not just at the weekends when there’s extra time.)

To-do lists are your only way of not procrastinating and really getting organized. Setting a schedule and some lists helps you understand what NEEDS to be done. Then, you’ll know that if you procrastinate nothing will get done! So write a to-do list per day, or per week, whatever suits you. Also, make sure you include the little things as it will make you feel so much more motivated to carry on!

img_0400

Write a sentence or paragraph to sum up your day. I add a little box to the end of my to-do list that states ‘good thing that happened’, and I’ll write one good thing. You could write a paragraph though if you wanted!

Leave space for notes. Girl, you need to add notes. Make sure you are jotting down where to be, when and why. NOTES, NOTES, NOTES!

img_0404

Other helpful, short-hand steps:

Add in doodles, little illustrations that might keep you happy.

Have a page for quotes!

img_0402

Leave your bullet journal open on your desk so you see it first thing in the morning.

Have list of your new year’s goals, and choose a certain colour on your to-do list that signifies “things to do that maintain my resolutions”.

Never go un-colour-coded.

Always write ‘next day plans’ on your list!

I hope these tips will help you push forward! You can do it if you try.

Have an amazing week, full of notes and to-do lists!

WEEKLY INSPIRATION: ‘The sky’s not the limit, look what astronauts did.’

ASK YOURSELF THIS WEEK: ‘Why?’

Bored? I’ve Got You Sorted.

Hey Internet!

Today I’m going to show you what things you can do when you’re bored! I saw Zoe Ware doing one of these on her Youtube channel not long ago and I’m going to use the same step one/disclaimer.

  1. Are you sure you aren’t procrastinating? Make sure you have nothing to do. If you are bored with doing your homework then, *Nike says it all* JUST DO IT! It’s not as if you have nothing you need to be doing, so, get it done with, then carry on with these steps.
  2. If you are following a long at home then now you’ll actually, probably, be bored! Step two is to go outside. At least every day you must go out into the world and just get some fresh air. Whether that’s doing your 30 minutes of excercise by going on a short walk, or going on a bike ride with your friends to a little cafè, whatever suits you!
img_0670

Long, long legs!

3) I think this is slightly separate to the second step: go get some excercise! Anything from dancing, to rugby: just go out and get started!

4) Read a book: get lost in a great book.

img_0373

Maybe the Princess and Star Wars combination is a bit weird…?

5) Make a den! I’ll make a whole post on this but go back to the future and make a den. Line it with fairy lights, blankets, a book, some Pom-pom makers (maybe only for me then?) and YouTube. You’ll have a whale of a time.

img_0374

6) BAKE! Get messy and try out some recipes that seem interesting. Make them as wacky and wonderful as you like. Please send me photos!

7) Sketch or DIY, do something artistic! Maybe a pygmy-puff,  or a glitter globe like this one!

img_0228

8) Start a blog, and write your hearts out! A blog is the best thing to do when you’re bored.

9) Practice/start to learn a musical instrument. I play cello, keyboard and a bit of ukulele.

10) Tidy your room, sort out your space. Throw some things away and finally sort your huge clothes pile!

11) Start a diary (bullet journal are awesome! I follow YouTube channel ‘Doodles By Sarah’ for awesome tips on bullet diaries)

12) Take up a new hobby. Easier said than done I’m afraid…

13) Go through your old toys or watch some cringey TV shows from your childhood!

Catchphrase!

I hope you like these ideas! Please send me some awesome things you do when you’re bored.

Have a great non-boring day,
