‘When I Grow Up…’

My nine-year-old self is reawakening as I talk about dream jobs. Throughout most of my life, up until I was 10, I was fixed on the idea of being an author. However, through starting my blog, I had insecurities about whether what I write is good enough to be published. But I was 10. So if you are not getting it, I have a long way to go with my writing.

But even now I’m not that sure if that could be my career. Free-lancing and choosing my own hours seems a bit of a burden when I have the writing to concentrate on. Editing and publishing would be good I suppose, it encourages my adoration for writing whilst also not having to choose my own hours/work from home/create my own wages.

The reason I come to talk about this is that in school yesterday we were talking about what jobs we want to have… and I was stuck.

But it’s not early for me to start deciding now.

‘What I want to be when I grow up’.

Actually, I’m more likely to be late.

  1. I think it’s okay to not know what you want to do with your life because sometimes you find it in the randomest ways. I was sure I wanted to be a writer but I have a totally new dream now!
