Stringing Words Together

As you do, I sometimes find it hard to write something interesting. The way some people string words together seems effortless and is beautiful. I string my words together like a five year old would put beads on a bracelet. It’s not elegant, it does not look effortless, and will never be worn but once when checking the size.

It’s like having a rainbow and putting the colours in the wrong order. It doesn’t look right and no one will ever want to look at it.

How do you string your bracelet effortlessly?

Or do you not?

  1. Hello Erin,
I just love writing and considering my scattered brain experiences at school it’s astonishing to me. My tertiary education started from injury a decade ago. This began my journey writing and agonisingly transformation into academia. I noticed coming from trauma and lived experience with Bipolar that writing offers tremendous healing and a awesome hobby. It has just evolved and you comments resonate too. Nevertheless, I am writing a book and finally quit academic stuff.

    • Thank you for your comment. It was really interesting reading about your experience with writing. I find spurts if motivation for the subject every now and again, and when they come, even if it’s four in the morning, I will write. Because I know that maybe this little pocket of motivation won’t come again for a while.
      Good luck with the book!

  2. Well, difficult or not, your writing is good. Especially this one about how the good things in life take work. Writing is just a little talent and most all craft. And, you are well along in the craft. I can see it.

  3. I understand how you feel. Some people are such amazing writers everything they write seems to be so effortless and wonderful. I always envy them because it takes me a while before I can think of something good to write.

    • I am glad you are on the same page. Honestly, we are great writers but we are in a society with even greater writers.
But don’t get me wrong, you write wonderfully. I hope you begin to love a lot more of your writing in the near future 💕
